Memorial funds honor USF anthropologist Curtis Wienker, support student research

Created by his family, the funds support the biomedical anthropology program and establish the Curtis Wienker Viva Cuba Memorial Fund each reflecting a distinct dimension of Wienkers decades-long career as an educator, researcher and mentor.

Z News earns first place in international competition, setting new standard for USF student journalism

USFs studentrun newscast, Z News, received the Broadcast Education Associations Dr. Marjorie Yambor Television Signature Station Award, taking first place in this years international competition. This marks the programs third time placing and its first time earning the top distinction.

Artemis II launch reveals unique seismic activity captured by USF scientists

One participant in the first 2016 deployment was CAS alum Jacob Richardson, now the deputy lunar science lead on the Artemis II lunar science team. His group has spent more than a year preparing observation strategies, including potential views of unexplored regions on the moons far side.
