Mathematical Formulas
The font size used in mathematical formulas, proofs, or complex calculations may be reproduced in relation to the text in the body of the document, but should be clearly legible.
Please note that Mathematical formulas must be tagged structurally as equations (not text) to prevent issues with ADA features and screen readers.
Algorithms, Equations, Molecules, Compounds, and Schemes do not need to be labeled as figures as they have their own distinct numbering. They should not have a list but should have Alternative Text if they are images, screenshots, or a graphic element. Equations should never be an image.
