UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN STUDIES

The Certificate is a short-term program for students who are interested in taking a series of courses in a selected areas, in this case Latin America and the Caribbean studies. The Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies is designed for the student who wants to learn more about the region and have that knowledge formally recognized in his or her academic record.

ADMISSION AND CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

The School of Interdiscplinary Global Studies at the 51做厙 offers an Undergraduate Certificate in Latin American and Carribean Studies. For a listing of the admission and degree requirements needed to obtain the Undergraduate Certificate, students should consult and adhere to the Undegraduate Certificate Catalog under which they were admitted.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Students should first submit a request to declare an undergraduate certificate with the College of Arts and Sciences. Please complete the online form found at the page linked below prior to filling out the Application Questionnaire.

HOW TO APPLY

Students interested in pursuing the certificate must fill out the . After submitting this form, you will receive a response from the department within a few business days. 

When the student has completed the above requirements, the certificate coordinator will recommend the student for the certificate, which will be awarded upon the successful completion of all degree requirements for the major.

Certificate completion is noted exclusively on the student's academic record; physical certificates are not awarded.

The program is open to all majors in all colleges.
