The Institute on Black Life's archives preserve past research initiatives, programs, and community collaborations that have contributed to scholarship and public engagement. While these initiatives may no longer be active, they continue to reflect IBL's commitment to documenting Black life, fostering dialogue, and advancing interdisciplinary research.
The Enlightenment Series
The Enlightenment Series brought together scholars, community leaders, artists, and public intellectuals to explore issues affecting Black communities through lectures, panel discussions, and public conversations.
Structural Racism Initiative
The Structural Racism Initiative examined systemic inequities through interdisciplinary research, public programming, and community engagement. The initiative fostered conversations about the historical and contemporary impacts of structural racism while encouraging collaborative solutions.
Black Life in Tampa Bay
This initiative documented and celebrated the history, experiences, and contributions of Black communities throughout the Tampa Bay region through research, storytelling, and community partnerships.
