Wingate Test

Wingate testing, also known as the Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT), measures an athlete’s ability to produce power during short, maximal-intensity exercise. It is a common assessment used to evaluate anaerobic power, anaerobic capacity, and fatigue rate before or during training. This test is typically performed on a cycle ergometer over a 30-second all-out sprint.

Benefits of Wingate Testing:

  • Accurate data for individual profile
  • Measure peak anaerobic power
  • Assess anaerobic capacity
  • Identify fatigue index
  • Monitor sprint performance
  • Data to inform power training
